I think Webb can't actually have seen what de Jong did, because WC final or not, that was a straight red

I didn't pick it at normal speed before the replays, just thought it was a shoulder barge, couldn't understand why the Spanish were so incensed. SO maybe Webb missed it

I think Iniesta was saved because (a) he didn't make the move towards Van Bommel, Van B was running past him to give him a little niggle shoulder action as usual, (b) he didn't turn round to face Van B, just anticipated him and dropped the shoulder into him without facing him, so it looked better, and (c) he had the good sense to keep hi hands very low

Should have got a yellow though
