From what I picked up, I don't know about the software, but it

focussed on people huddling up every morning, in a "scrum" I guess, and each would say exactly where they're at with a project, and how and where they'll be within the time constraint

If they couldn't/can't achieve it. I guess someone else in the scrum would join in and support to make the next step possible

I'd take a guess that the software would be like a timesheet module, or a like ticket raised system with targets and tasks, with agreed people assign to them from huddling up

At the time, it appeared to be some dressed up way of people just working together, but then, if it works, it works

Sounds a lot like it's a way of keeping people focussed, and people equally doing their bit, instead of projects rolling on for months without good reasons to why of who's stalling it
