and isn't the extent of Colchester's loss dependent on how good Lambert is? The better he is the bigger the loss they've suffered?
I can see both sides too, but I don't see why future performance should apply to players' moves but not managers'. Either it is a valid factor in the final amount paid by the acquiring club or it isn't.
