historically a pretty safe seat!

so safe that in 2005 they parachuted in from london a "rising star" in parjit dhanda just so he could experience a "win" - - within a week he arranged a pap event wearing a gloucester rugby shirt stood in the stand at a game.... that went down like a lead balloon with many locals, even traditional labour voters as such a crass stunt to pull.

glad to see finally he can f**k off back to london and leave local politics to the locals.
