each bookies will have it in their terms and conditions, you will often have to fill in a 'lost ticket form' and then they will check to find the original slip and ensure it hasn't been cashed in by someone else...best first option is to ring up the customer services of the bookies (assuming it's a big chain)...the more details you have over time date etc the easy and quicker it will be for them.
