May come reorganisation and rebirth. The PL is, slowly, changing; the CL's becoming more competitive; the credit crunch and weakening pound are likely to severely impact the biggest clubs in England. Football is cyclical, and England's time at the top (with all its horrible consequences for non-Big Four clubs) may be drawing to a close.

For years, I wouldn't have had the slightest hope that Norwich could become an established top flight club within the foreseeable future. Now, I do. That isn't to say what you've pointed out isn't highly relevant and of great cause for concern; but it is to say that to some degree, the malaise around the club meant we swallowed some of the excuses as to why we couldn't compete.

It'll be tough, but we've got great people at the club now; people who are forward thinking, and don't make excuses. Allied to the very strong relationship with the community and fanbase which Delia and Michael helped foster, that makes us a club of very real potential.
