which is clearly ridiculous, however from a far wider range of people, media etc you hear that Southampton would be right up there, vying for promotion, if it weren't for those pesky kids (at the FA).

Not saying they're a bad team, by any means - but equally they are not really a realistic contender - bar a terrific run - for a playoff spot either.
