i dont give to people on the streets

i give to charity

so I'm not making any false excuses

I choose not to give to people on the streets as

a.) if they do drugs it ends up becoming proceeds of crime
b.) if they do drugs the money is in no way going to help get them off the streets
c.) about 20% of people begging on the streets are not homeless and can make on average ?80 a day tax free
d.) giving to charity helps more than one person
e.) I prefer donating to organizations that help the homeless rather than giving money directly to the homeless, because I know that the money will be used appropriately.
f.) you are better off buying the big issue as the money goes towards helping them

so I'm not saying "i'm not giving you cash as you'll spend it on drugs" to a homeless person whilst thinking "you're a smelly ol' tramp why should i give you money"

it's just in no way going to help the situation they are in by giving them money to spend on drugs.
