We've thrown money at these characters, built up their ego's placed them on pedastals and almost worshipped them as gods in some cases.
Yet when they allow all this to get to their heads, when the time they have on their hands and the power they are made to believe they have results in them being arseholes we wring our hands and cry foul.
Football could have standards, but it simply cannot with the way the game is now. You watch how most of them behave during a game, its fairly poor really. Swearing at officals, cheating, diving, at times going into challenges in a way they know could hurt their opponent, even our own Holt has done that.
I'd love our national side to consist mainly of guys that are decent, but its not how the game worsk anymore is it?
