From what I remember some seriously BAD management

From Grant but ESPECIALLY the board at the time. 2 players with sell on clauses in their contracts, Etuhu and Earnshaw, with a panic when "surprise surprise" the bids come in late in the transfer window. Cureton and Rusty come in to replace them. Rusty eventually a real success, Cureton clearly trying his socks off......
