Anyone know whether i can take a TV back that i bought today?......

Plugged it in tonight and am not happy with the picture quality.

I want to take it back and probably buy a better one. Can i do this? i bought it from Comet.

I only ask as i was in there today and there was a couple returning a tv that they bought yesterday and they were kicking off as Comet would not let them return it. I don't know the exact reasons why they returned it but Comet were not letting them bring it back and they certainly weren't happy.
