It must be something to do with aging

A couple of months ago, after a sobering discussion in the chatty which led me to realise how few things I'm qualified for, I came to a decision.

I become less employable with every birthday and I have few qualifications - I've never needed them before. So, I decided, as no employer has ever seen fit to send me off to gain quals, I would bin my job and spend a year training myself in whatever new line of work I wanted to spend my last nearly 20 yrs of employment. Er......in. Sorry Dave.

But what area should that be? Something future-proof, or as near to that as poss.

Eventually I settled upon Sustainability. As resources dwindle, I thought, this is bound to become an area in which qualified persons would be much sought-after.

Sadly I discovered that it's still not really recognised as an Official Desirable Thing and any qualification I might achieve might be less of a string of important-looking letters and more of a letter from some hippies saying "Listen to this man, right, he knows, OK?".

So I'm still at the leadworks.
