Problem with that is that it doesn't excite the masses, who also wouldn't get it.

They see ?20m going in, and they want to see us spending a million here and a million there on players.

Which still wouldn't happen, so you'd get teh pinkun and canary call bemoaning a lack of ambition and questionning why we are not spending money.

Which is the difficulty of running a football club where so many of the fans want you to spend spend spend, but will crucify you if the policy fails.

I Do agree its what we need to do though, and i've long been of them ind taht if i ever won big on the lottery, that would be my first act. Clear the debt, budget for our income, and provide a few million per season to top up.
Should keep us competitive short term while looking for real investment.
