His reputation within the game is that of a pushover, who wouldn't understand being ruthless if his life depended on it. McNally had a marketing background at Celtic (at a time they were transformed, incidentally), and was then MD at Fulham. He has far better contacts, and isn't afraid to ruffle feathers either.
