That looks very like the one that worked throughout 2008

before dying at Xmas. It's here in front of me, under the Phi*ips one that ran through 2009, which I bought when the other one died. They both still write CDs, but the newly-dying Phil*ps will still write DVDRWs for a few weeks before that too becomes a CD burner (like the other one, and the one which worked throughout 2007 and died at Xmas).

Sigh. Maybe I should cut my losses and just buy a new lappy instead. But this one still works, so f**k it.
