FAO any pc techy pen types
I just nipped into PC World (I know, but it's on the way home) to buy an external dvd writer (like I do this time every year, 'cos that's how long they last). I was horrified to discover that all the machines on offer stated that they require TWENTY GIGS of free HDD space.
Naturally i went to the help desk to ask if this is true: TWENTY GIGS??? i asked if this is because they need that much to perform all the bells-and-whistles things I'm never going to want them to do, and therefore they'll just burn disks quite happily with much less available space, if a little more slowly.
The Help Desk, you may be surprised to learn, didn't know.
Anyone have any idea please?
Ta in advance
