But some also give Gunn no credit for his work at the club over the years.

A period when we seem to have produced/developed a string of decent young goalkeepers and more recently some quality youth prospects.

Lambert is the far superior manager and is whithout doubt the reason for our turn around.

The reason fans talk about the sacking is the fact that to an ousider the whole thing looks incredibly strange.

(1) The board totally back Gunn by letting him bring in 12 players

(2) We do well in pre-season against decent opposition.

(3) We get stuffed 7-1 by Colchester, then win 4-0 in CC

(4) Gunn Sacked at 11th hour before a vital game, strange timing on friday evening.

(5) McNally/board claim they had little faith in Gunn
Which make little sense if you look at the fact they let him spend virtually the whole transfer budget?

I am not saying it hasnt worked out well but the whole series of events looks very strange to the outsider.

"Sacked after 2 games, one which you won 4-0"

Looks incredibly strange?

Obviously NCFC fans take into account Gunns poor record from last year.
