I see him as a 'summer transfer' player - for the simple reason that he does need a squad setup around him. So if a team is doing okay in January then bringing in Wes probably won't make much of a positive impact because they'll probably suffer disruption as much as gaining benefit. Let's face it - it has taken this long and the new system under Lambert for us to see Wes at hisbest. The flashes last season were matched by the frustrations. I also think that he is worked out by higher-level defenders - a lot of the success at this level (because this is the level at which he had his success) is down to his ability to frustrate the slower defenders who are prevalent in this division. He wears them out.

I'm loving the way he's doing this at the moment, but I still think that if he really were capable of playing at the highest level he would be there by now.
