Well club cabbage employ a "steward" for each coach,

someone to count people on and off, to sit by the driver and give any info needed. They get given an info pack with stuff like police instructions, maps of how to get there etc. I used to do it myself sometimes when I was a steward.

In return you get free ticket and travel. Quite how he got it I don't know?
