Agreed - I personally have had reservations about him all the way through his reign...

As have many others I know. I think thats why despite being one of our most successful managers of all time he has never quite won the fans over in the way that Mike Walker did or certain others.

I am sure we lost just as many if not more games under Walker but I can never recall coming away from the matches week after week having witnessed the same flaws from the team and constantly concerned that sooner or later teams would make us pay for it. If something was obviously wrong it got sorted out whereas the current management team seem to have certain blind spots that they just don't address e.g playing too deep, being crap/negative away from home, picking crap players consistently when better ones are available, obsession with strikers
