My concern
My concern at the moment is that the weight of expectation is going to really start getting to the players if it hasn't already.
To my mind we've had 2 (yes two) bad results and in at leat one of those we deserved a win. The Soton game we were at least as good as them and lost 1-0 to a disputed penalty retake and the palace game we bettered a promotion favorite and got a draw so I don't count them as bad results per se (although obviously I'd rather we won).
Last night wasn't good but we rested 2 key players and had another 2 injured, were away from home against a side who raised their game for us and we DID win. God only knows what people would be like if we'd lost 2-0 at home to Yeovil.
The Crewe and Coventry games are the ones we feel we should win. The Coventry game in particular was a real disappointment. However, they were the first games of the season.
I'm really worried now that people are getting on the backs of Worthington, the new signings and the team generally which is affecting confidence and that should we lose to leeds we'll be a team in crisis.
We need to start winning soon and the start has been very disappointing (but Saints + Palarse have not been much better ) but lets keep things in perspective.
When we lost 6-0 to Fulham nobody could have argued that NCFC didn't have the best fans in the world and indeed deano said that made him realise he'd picked the right club and didn't want to leave. I hope to good he hasn't read this board in the last few days or his bags will already be packed.
