find an example of me moaning about our "small" squad. I wasn't even aware that it was small. We still managed to have enough players to pay out money to squad members who never got on the pitch.
Ever since Rioch we have decided that quantity is more important than quality, despite years of evidence to the contrary. And here we go again. In all that great long list of midfielders the only one who comes close to quality is Clingan, and as you rightly point out, he's off.
What I really don't understand is how the supposedly intelligent people running the football club cannot see that if you piss money away on midfielder after midfielder then you don't have it to spend on, for example, a target man.
