hi mate if the light is working correctly then good chance youve got the wirring right if not the fuse would blow.change the switch they often break down inside and any loose play on the contacts or loose switch wires will cause them to crackle .make sure you turn the elect off first at the fuse box as i dont want you sueing me ! good luck
