Not necessarily.
It isn't like other exams where you can say that 75%+ is an "A", 65%+ is a "B", and so on.
All the entrants on a course get ranked in order of attainment, then the top x% get firsts, the next x% get upper-seconds, the next x% get lower-seconds etc.
So it is possible to do really really well, but be unfortunate enough to be ranked against a whole bunch of people that did even better, meaning that you end up with a poorer class of degree yourself.
