Again it's not loans per se

it's the using of them without thinking. I've often said on here that I think footballers are simple souls who want to go on to a pitch and win regardless of shirt colour. But we went into a spin of using loan players who didn't enhance the squad - mostly down to our obsession with the 'two players for each place' logic, rather than thinking first about one good player for each position.
