Solutions?

1. Sack Doncaster, who I increasingly suspect is only there to supply legalistic gagging orders when paying people off.

2. Bring people with real footballing expertise onto the board. Such people would have the ability to monitor the new manager and question (not dictate to, but question) strange decisions.

3. Do not allow either DS or MWJ any say in the appointment of the next manager. They clearly don't know anything about football, so why should they have a say?

4. Make sure the next manager is someone with a proven track record.

5. Slash the absurdly large non-playing wage bill wherever possible.

6. Move heaven and earth to find a buyer, and pressure the owners into removing their ridiculous conditions and over-valuation of their shares. Today we hear someone wanted to put them in touch with potential investors, and the club never even met with them. Why? I'd suggest it's because Delia can't bear the thought of letting go of Delia FC.

Not that any of this matters - because they seem likely to just appoint Gunn anyway. No manager with a decent track record appointed since 1998. They do not have a clue.
