The fact remains
that the board keep mandating huge salaries that are being spent on underperforming players.
They maintain that they need to spend these sums yet plenty of other clubs do better than us without doing so.
Are we paying big salaries because we are successful? No
Are we paying big salaries because our players are all young assets with long contracts and sell-on values? No
Does our league position justify those salaries? No
