ARRGHHHH FFS pants. I voted for flem that year so let me tell you why.

1) he was, IIRC ever present. Hucks didn't start the season, and missed that short spell between loon and signing.
2) Even then hucks had the odd game he didn't influence. As a CB Flem HAD to have an impact on every single game, its impossible not to.
3)Flem lead the team by being part of a rock solid foundation. It was this foundation that allowed us to play huckerby, allowed huckerby to play freely, and allowed him to have the superb impact on us that he had.

Without hucks or season would have gone nowhere.
I believe without flem (or at least the flem/malky partnership) our season would also have gone nowhere.

You disagree? Fine, we all look at football differently. On sundays i'm a full back, which does colour how i watch a game. I'm aware of how defenders can have a maasive impact on a team, while seemingly doing nothing more than they should do.
That's why I went with flem.
