I know what you mean about coaching the talent out of kids

I used to think that about Notman. When he received the ball you could almost see him quell his instincts and just give a simple ball instead. While it's tempting to grumble about coaching, as I do below, it's also likley that there's a good reason for it. Yes, 'likley'.

My nephew (star of Youtube and the Taff league :o) had trials at Dunfermline, where they bollocked him for playing a defence-splitting pass, on the grounds that that ball gets cut out most of the time so one should never ever play it: *boll* *ocks* to that, IMHO.

That ain't it with Micah, though, oi reck'n. Simply a case of it being more important not to concede than to scare the oppo s**tless.
