I don't think he intends to be arrogant, but after so long of wasting his breath

on questions about huckerby, or questions that aren't helpful to anyone in moving this club forward, and are just whinges about the past, then he becomes arrogant

He does so, because, naturally, he needs all the support he can get, and so does the team

If all he hears like he has since the Sheff weds away game, is "why has huckerby gone?", to then spending the whole of pre season dumping dead wood backroom staff, with him then getting "why are you sacking x who's been here donkeys?"

After a while, he's going to get arrogant if media and the fans can't appreciate that he needs a lot of time, and needs a lot of support along the way. He just wants us all to hang in there

You've got to remember, he's got to have the self belief of his convictions as well, and all he has here is negative reactions to everything he does

It's perfectly natural to me that he's defensive when it comes to questions asked

It's a two way thing, if people want to respect what he's done, he'll be more polite and forthcoming. If the attacks are just going to be frequent, and they are, then he's going to be arrogant
