... one of my best mates, who left our place to join the Old Bill, has just been accepted onto the armed response unit in Manchester after sim-months-ish of shadowing the unit and seeing what's what. He absolutely, disgustingly, obscenely cannot wait to get started - he couldn't feel more supported and empowered. And that's after a half-year working with the unit already.

So, just to show you that one man's anecdotes don't equate everyman's truth.
