not especially, to be honest though I've got sympathy for the police though,

They have a tough job which is made a whole lot worse by the red tape and legislation that follows them.

A lot of the police ARU (Armed Response Units) are suffering because they are afraid to be caught in a situation where they may have to shoot someone. The ARU near me have now got to the stage where if they are called out they don't cock the weapons for fear of repercussions. People are leaving the units in their droves now because they have no back up from their superiors. If they fire their weapon then they are on their own. The police chiefs have told them that. They are risking their lives and not being given any support. It's not right that they should be put in that position which is why they are all leaving!

How do I know this? My girlfriend's brother has just left the ARU for this reason. He's said it's happening all over the country.
