BUT, he seems to be a lot more successful at persuading players to come here than previous managers.

And the players who are in and out of the team all seem to respect him (Croft, Wes, Patty).

In fact looking at how the Pattison muss-up was dealt with I think that Roeder's man-management skills might be pretty good. He seems fairly straightforward and I think it would be wrong to take the Hucks situation as a yardstick for how he will deal with his squad.
