The trouble is

We seem to be guaranteed to play a bit crap for at least one half of most matches

And it doesn't necessarily seem to be the fault of the formation. It's just that we see "first half crap, formation changed, now we're playing better, if only we'd started in that formation". Whereas if we'd started with Hooly in the Hole tra la la la la we'd still have looked crap because it was going to be our crap half, and everyone would have said "stop f**king around with these fancy formations, let's just do 442 which the players understand"

Anyway, I want him to play Hooly in the Hole tra la la la la because it's more fun
