Agree with a lot of that, however i'm always nervous about a board being too involved.

For me, their expertise is not in football, not on the day to day basis that a managers should be.

Despite some peoples thoughts on Roeder, would anyone really consider Delia to have a better eye for a player than him?
Just my stance, but I agree with giving a manager a budget and letting him spend it rather than have to justify every player.
Even if you made him do that, it should be bloody easy for him considering his how much more knowledge he has.
Kinda like being in IT and using all the geek phrases to confuse the boss.

That said, nothing wrong with suggesting a 'style' perhaps as you;ve said.
