What worries me most of all about the Board....

is the way they think appointing the manager is the only involvement they need to have on the footballing side of things.

They let Worthy go on far too long in the blind hope he'd turn it around. Then Grant was allowed to buy a load of rubbish and now there's this awful loan policy.

Do they ever challenge the manager?

Could they not have suggested to the manager that he begins a policy of buying exciting young players from lower divisions, allied to just a few key loans for experience.

Ok, he kept us up. But that isn't reason to let him do just whatever he wants. Suggy posted earlier that there isn't much Norwich City about Norwich City right now and I agree. Having all these loan players is truly ridiculous, it can only ever be a short term fix.

If we had the nucleus of an exciting but raw squad of our own I wouldn't be so troubled (ie indifferent) by our league position. But if we get relegated now, with barely any assets, then we are in the deepest of trouble - not least because the only player we would possibly get ?1m plus for is the goalkeeper.

The only possible chink of light is that he is merely being asked to steer the ship steadily into next season by which time they know they will have moved on and Cullum will be here, but I doubt it.
