So, what are the chances that this happened after we were relegated?...

Nigel announced in the press shortly after we were relegated that he would be looking to replace any players that left and that he would be looking to add one or two more to the squad as the Championship is a tough, physically demanding league where games thick and fast at the weekend and then midweek. Now can someone just comfirm that he did indeed say that, or words to that affect? as i am pretty sure he did but events (or lack of events) in the past few weeks have made me unsure.

What is the betting that after that quote that Nige had his meeting with the board to discuss his transfer budget and they have pulled the purse strings right tight? Judging from comments made by certain individuals it seems that this is very much the case. Nigel, in the canary preview magazine said that he doesn't think people realise how tight things are at the club, and it now looks like that untill he sold Jonson he had no cash to splash.

Worthy has said on a couple of occasions that he is very happy with the squad that he has. I think this is rubbish and that he is just saying that to show a united front. People are slagging Worthy off (including me) about our us needing a new central defender and midfielder but maybe we are directing our anger in the wrong direction. I mean if Nigel has not been given much funds to strengthen the squad with then it is not his fault we are lacking a CB and CM, i bet he would love to sign both but he is having to cut the cloth according to what the board say.

I am questioning the boards ambition to return to the Premiership because i, and many others are sceptical that we can return there without out 2 more additions.

Your thoughts please?
