its a risky tactic, but i guess that is his way of managing

he wants the players to play for him, with himself being the big dog (which to be fair is probably how it should be). hoolahan was obv the big star at blackpool, but roeder doesnt want him to feel like that here, even if he does turn out to be. he wants the lad to put in a decent shift just like anyone else and then if he doesnt perform he has to face the consequences.

i quite like the fact that he is letting the fans know what he is saying to players, now if hoolahan starts on saturday he is going to want to play well so he gets the fans on his side and show the manager he is wrong (providing he doesnt have a prima donna strop).

at least he knows that if he doe do well then roeder will come out in the press and praise him, a la matty patty this week. works both ways and i think roeder is quite fair like that.

however i think he should be absoloutley ripping in to Curo, then if that doesnt get him going then he is out of the team, not good enough for the championship anymore i dont think.
