unfortunately "financially mismanaged" means

different things to different people, and so a consensus on your q will never be achieved.

Example - spending 30 mill and 130k pw on Shevkenko would be financial mismanagement for anyone but Roman.
Spending 400k on Joe Lewis would be F M if he turned out to be Simon Tracey.

Apparently the board have "underwritten" or "invested in" our new players this summer. Assuming that these advances are repaid at some point or a Cup Run (LOL!) generates surplus cash then there should be no problem, though some will argue that spending more than 60 per cent of your income on players is a recipe for disaster (Deloitte included).

FACTS TO CONSIDER WHEN CONSIDER FINANCIAL MISMANAGEMENT -
Is the club maximising its revenue streams?
Does the club waste money on pointless projects?
Does the club have debts that are holding it back?
Does the club have directors that are happy / willing to invest personal funds to work towards success?

Chew this over and let me know what you think.
