where's the money gone and all that
Yet they've let some high earners go in the last two seasons, yet that causes upset amongst the fans, even though it's the obvious answer to "where's the money gone?"
When we're attacking the manager, it's "can't believe he signed him for 500k", yet when they leave and it's later changed to the board for criticism. If someone says "what about the 500k spent on so and so", you'll get the reply "it was actually nearer 200k, it was just rumour and paper talk that said we spent that"
When it suits, we have put the angle we want into something
Coppell largely formats teams from not really spending very much and waits around for what he wants. Last season that became a criticism because they didn't stay up, yet he's had a decent start to this biding his time for who he wants
Roeder does fairly similar, looks around for potential, a bit of experience here and there, and pulls Hoolahan out from the grasps of other clubs, yet in doing that, there therefore means the board can't be bothered to back him and give him the funds for players
It's fairly obvious to me that Roeders in charge here largely without interference, and he just hasn't found the right striker in time for the new season
I don't see why or how that has to be something sinister about the board when we already know how the man works
