See the stories about them playing in the Premiership are starting to surface again-bit like Christmas, but it won't go away.
Personally, I wouldn't have them in the Premiership under any circumstances-apart from anything else, how do they "fit" in, do you relegate four, then have the top two from the CCC plus Celtic and Rangers taking those four places? You've then got two extra clubs in the CCC, how do they allow for that? And so on, right down the leagues.
You then have the Scottish FA recoiling against the idea of a GB football team, as it might affect the current four nations set up. So how would the top two Scottish clubs scuttling off to play in England affect that argument, not positively, thats for certain.
The argument "for" however, then says that Welsh clubs play in English leagues, so why not the Scottish ones?
But then the argument from the rest of the Scottish clubs is that the national league up there would die a death-not least financially-if they were to leave, so it would have a very negative effect on their game, and, with the ???'s from the Prem, wouldn't Celtic and Rangers do what everyone else does and fill their side with players of almost any nationality than Scotland?
The cries for their inclusion are regular but it does seem a non-starter doesn't it?
