KL have been in a good position a few times over the years, and each time they have self-destructed - leading to dark suggestions and conspiracy theories...

Funnily enough, King's Lynn Speedway are in exactly the same position - they dropped out of the Sky-sponsored Elite League into the Premier League becasue they couldnt afford it. Last year they did an unprecedented treble, have huge attendance, and, by common opinion, one of the best tracks in the World - yet still can't (or won't) make that leap back to the Elite League
