I suspect that the one in a corner, financially, is GR. Faced with a baying crowd calling for the purchase of Taylor on one hand and a financial squeeze on the other he is having to face a few harsh truths. One of those truths is that we simply cannot afford to have a 3rd choice keeper worth £400k in the squad. That money must be used for actual 1st team players, which Taylor certainly is. We will end this January with a very lean squad indeed, taking the gamble that quality on the pitch will stave off relegation. The gamble is that if we get a few injuries the squad will be so shallow that ready replacements will not be available.
