A Morecambe fan says this:
I've got it on good authority he will sign for Peterborough tomorrow albeit somewhat reluctantly. As far as we know, Roeder called him back with the knowledge that Peterborough had submitted an offer but held this information from Joe. Joe understood that he would be getting his opportunity in the Cup games and was eager to play for the club he supports sacrificing a proper goodbye ceremony from Morecambe (which had been arranged) to get back to Norwich promptly as directing by Bryan Gunn.
He was told by Roeder that if he did not sign for Peterborough, he would be refused another loan and would not feature for the first team or reserves at all. Clearly he was pushed into a corner without having had the opportunity to prove himself.
We did put a bid in ourselves but sadly can't compete with 400k although the figure I've been told would have annihilated our previous record transfer fee.
I know I'm biased but having watched Joe for six months I can safely say I expect him to be an England goalkeeper in his future. He is simply that good. He has a massive frame, commanding of his area, collects crosses with ease and has pulled off some saves this season that Gordon Banks would be proud of.
Roeder will rue this decision in time.

And another says that it's being reported on a Morecambe site that Jim Hollman resigned in protest. of Lewis being sold.
Interesting if true, sounds a tad harsh by Roeder.
