... Which strangely you barely mentioned in your post, despite your sentiments - well, there's no question they're under more and more pressure. I can't see most fans turning against them yet - but if Grant goes, they simply HAVE to get the next appointment right, or there'll be hell to pay.

More generally, the fact that we have a short-term loan due for repayment by Xmas '08, and that they seem to have rebuilt the South Stand by using the same "securitisation" strategy which Leeds and Man City (idiotically, in both cases) used has placed a whopping great millstone round our necks. The lack of money we have as a result means I just can't see how things will improve. City got to the point whereby only a takeover could bail them out (hence their attitude when Thaksin became interested) - I suspect it'll be the same with us too, though it'll probably many fans another year or two to realise this.
