Got Done Like That Myself Some Years Ago!

Company called "General Portfolio"-don't think they exist now!

They were looking to "actively recruit" people who were of "high calibre graduate" ability to work in "high finance and management with potential earnings of £40k" (not bad back then).

Stunned I got an interview, as, looking at the spec didn't think I was good enough!

Stunned further to be told at the interview I was of "excellent quality" and could I possibly "attend an evening seminar to find out more about your position".

Stunned senseless when I discovered my initial "management phase" would be 6 months cold calling, £0 p.a basic! & 100% commission (which had to be shared with my "mentor")

Stunned beyond all recognisable capabilities when, after I turned it down, they phoned me up for a few weeks to try to get me to change my mind!

Similar experience with a company in Norwich called Highway Emergency Services- a so-called "executive" agency in the City got me an interview there for a "management position", paying roughly £30k....

...good interview, offered job, working Wednesday's-Sunday's, £12k p.a.

And the agency were pissed at ME for telling them what they could do with the offer!
