they got graduates in by not telling them what they'd be doing and then sent them door to door to sell products/services. They said that 6 months would be enough to start being considered for management positions (obviously not many people hung around for that long). It was crap pay + commission for what were presumably very high objectives. Someone told me that the whole thing was a sort of pyramid scheme - people had to invest and open their own branch in order to continue to progress in the company.
