so what you mean is....

he signed "crap players" at that crucial period....can't see how that can be generalised to his whole tenure...because, as i stated, he has signed some quality players, 2 of which will be City legends.

I get pissed off when people criticise him for a situation that they know nothing about, no idea about the contraints placed on him by the board or the transfer market at the time. Do you not think that the man that recognised the quality of Hucks, Saf, Earnie and Drury would not have had the ability to pick out other great players...IF he had the money to do so!

Whenever the board backed worthy with funds, he delievered. You can say that working with no funds is part of the job, fair enough, but whenever he was funded, Worthy brought in quality. Surely, had the board backed him, we might not be here now.
