Sorry, I don't agree. Do you think his audience were laughing in a knowing, ironic fashion? "Oh look, Neil's told a joke about poofs, how retro, what an ironic comment on the persona he has created and is mocking". No they aren't - he's getting cheap laughs from gay bashing.
