And Conker's right that JB wouldn't be a direct replacement. But on what you've just written, I'd say Saf conformed to your description a couple of years ago in the Prem (I remember watching the draw at Spurs, and thinking he'd be key to everything we'd do); but I'm not so sure now. Now, I tend to see him as more a playmaker than steely hard tackler: fair? Or no?
